On these last two pages I thought I'd show some pictures of life on the boat. A couple of the days on the cruise were spent entirely at sea, meaning we got to enjoy the various activities offered to keep passengers busy. Alan and I teamed up to play in a trivia contest one day, and won it with little difficulty. But on another day we both entered a ping-pong tournament, and ended up with less satisfying results...
In the picture above, Alan is the guy on the right. The guy on the left beat both him and myself. Alan was actually pretty good at it. But in the past I had only played ping pong just for fun... These guys knew how to put spin on the ball and get that thing moving. It was all I could do just to keep it on the damn table!

One night, the showgirl in the picture to the right was standing outside the dining hall entrance, posing for pictures with people. Of course I had to play along, and even worse, I actually bought the pic!

On the last cruise I went on, I had to sit at a big round table with like 7 other people. It was a great way to get to know the other passengers. Unfortunately, Alan and I were stuck in a little booth by ourselves on the side of the dining hall. The only good thing about it was there was a table of 6 hot girls across from us every night. To the left is Alan with the maitre d'. She was pretty zesty and Alan was in love with her.

Another day, I got caught up in the karaoke fun and thought it was a good idea to sing "500 Miles" by the Proclaimers (you know: "I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door... da da da, da da da...."). Problem is, I look like I should be singing Sinatra, or trying to sing a baby to sleep. I pretty much become immobile once I get on stage, mostly because I'm trying to remember how the dang song goes and not screw up! But it was a fun atmosphere and I don't think people cared too much, not when there were plenty of drinks to go around.
One of the "better" acts was this sexy sextet of women. I don't think they could collectively sing for anything, but they certainly knew how to entertain the audience! In this pic, they were backing up the guy who was singing some song no one remembered 5 minutes after he was done. Oh, yeah, these gals were also the same ones that sat across from us in the dining hall each night. Not bad company...
